Spoof Software started in early 2002 when a group of enterprising young people started to wonder how could they create the perfect excuse to leave work early and go snowboarding. It expanded to more than work excuses when one of these employees wondered how to juggle her boyfriends and still maintain some free time for herself.

These nameless employees started a poll on several message boards and web sites to see what were the best excuses that people could come up with for a variety of sticky situations. The results were exactly what they were looking for, but how could they keep track of which excuses were used where and when?

Spoof Software was created as a result of these questions. The reports show how often each excuse is used in general, how many and which excuses are used for each "spoofee" (employer, roommate, boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife, teacher, etc.) It also generates a variety of excuses based on each situation that you are faced with.
